Between the 30th and 31st of May 2014, the Society of Economic Geology of Romania (EGSR), the Department of Mineralogy within the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics (University of Bucharest), the Romanian Geological Institute and the”Louis Mrazec” Society will organize the ninth international symposium of economic Geology, Odyssey Mineral Resources, dedicated to prof. Dr. George C. Smith (Honorary President EGSR) on the occasion of his 75th anniversary. The event will take place at the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics.

The papers presented at the symposium will be published in a special volume of the Romanian Journal of Mineral Deposits, edited by the Geological Institute of Romania in Bucharest and the Romanian Society of Economic Geology.

Schedule:

30.05.2014 – 10.00-17.00 – Opening of the Symposium, followed by the presentation of the work on section and in plenary.

05/31/2014 – 10.00 -17.00 – Conduct of the works on sections.

01/06/2014 – Application on the ground in Voineasa and Ocnele Mari area.
